Elizabeth Unique is an elegant and highly sophisticated hotel with an extensive range of contemporary art. It is set in a majestically restored 17th-century Palazzo Pulieri Ginetti in the heart of the capital’s historic center- just a breath away from the vivid Via del Corso and at an arm’s-length from even more crowded Piazza del Popolo. Piazza di Spagna and famous Spanish Steps are literally around the corner, and magnificent Villa Borghese is also in a walking distance. The hotel is surrounded by numerous prestigious boutiques and restaurants, as well as antique and jewelry shops. At Elizabeth Unique you have assured a peaceful stay in a stunning hotel imagined by its owners Mr. Giovanni and Vittorio Curatella.
Elizabeth Unique is one of those smart positioned hotels that offer the bustling city pulse and private and secluded oasis when you need it. We had arrived late at night in a quiet Via delle Colonnette. Walking through the near-by cobbled-stone streets and watching cheerful and joyous people in bars and restaurants we could feel romance in the air. We passed through a private double-height entrance, and suddenly we were greeted by bright, luminous and grand lobby. Its modern and sleek design, covered in marble, lacquered wooden panels, and luxurious fabrics just confirmed that we were in a splendid five-star hotel, while experienced and friendly staff that guided us from the very beginning of our stay punctuated that.
The hospitality industry is all about the experience, and a stay at the Elizabeth Unique Hotel guarantees a visual extravaganza and a chance to begin or expand your fine art collection. “She” is not unique just in name: it is the concept of blending luxurious and chic interiors with the state-of-the-art technology and contemporary art pieces that are scattered throughout the hotel. Its remarkable collection of modern Italian art is curated by Fabrizio Russo, owner of the historical Galleria Russo, and the end result is nothing short of amazing. It was a truly wonderful experience just to walk through the hotel’s corridors and admire the art of Enrico Benetta, recognized as one of the most important representatives of young Italian art in the world with his well-known Bodoni Iron letters, Giorgio Tentolini who makes sculpture-paintings weaving metal wire, Veronica Montanino and her labyrinthine hypnotic painting, Manuel Felisi with his macro collages about a Nordic imagery of skies and forests, Michael Gambino, Luca Di Luzio and many more.
In Elizabeth Unique, the corridors are filled with contemporary artworks
Elizabeth Unique is a member of the prestigious Design Hotels group and boasts 33 individually decorated rooms, expertly refurbished to meet the standards of a five-star luxury property. The rooms are subdivided into the six categories: Initiale, Deluxe, Deluxe Spa, Jr Suites, Suites, and The Suite Spa. Our Deluxe Spa room that comes with a sauna tuck in a spacious bathroom was grand, functional and beautiful. From the moment when we locked the door, we felt secrecy. We felt luxury, and there was fantasy. A beautiful painting by the young Spanish artist Diego Cerero Molina added that special touch and custom-made wallpaper with a vintage-feel blended the sense of old and new Rome. And there was a comfort. Nothing makes you feel better than when you get into a hotel bed and sheets feel so good, or in the morning when you wake up, apart from the magnificent thought that you are in Rome and there is a day full of discovery ahead of you, there is a lovely breakfast waiting for you. We started the first day in Elizabeth Unique Hotel with warm pastries and a cup of cappuccino on a sunny terrace. “La Bella Vita” and “Dolce far niente”- the Roman way.
Even basic Initiale rooms are spacious and masterfully decorated
The hotel’s interior design is simply astonishing. The colors are refined and soothing, the materials used are simply top-notch and the overall atmosphere is posh with a healthy dose of individuality and chic. From the marble stairway to the hotel’s restaurant, lobby or library, the touch of pure style is present everywhere.

The Suite Spa is equipped with a more spacious traditional Finnish sauna

At the hotel’s Bar Bacharach & Bistrot, named after the composer and pianist Burt Bacharach, guests can discover a wonderful culinary experience. The cuisine here can be decoded as a combination of Italian gastronomic traditions and international influences. Tasty dishes are prepared with fresh and local ingredients. You may have a superb brunch, lunch or dinner. We recommend salad Venere with black rice with mango, pineapple and seared tuna scented with lime and Spaghettoni pasta with salmon sauce and toasted almonds. As for desserts Il tiramisù.

Since the weather was nice, we spent every night at the hotel’s beautiful terrace, interconnected with the restaurant. In the atmosphere of the old Roman aristocratic mansion and with a little help of quality Prosecco, we allowed ourselves to get lost in the intoxicating vistas, completely sure that one day we will come back to the Eternal City and Elizabeth Unique as well.
