Last October we had a chance to visit Europe’s cultural capital, a metropolis with unique charm, vibrancy and flair that has been synonymous with music for centuries, and was home to Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert and Johann Strauss. Yes, we talk about Vienna, a dream city for anyone with a romantic streak or an interest in history. Our home for a couple of days was a four-star pentahotel Vienna, situated near the famous Naschmarkt in the heart of the city’s fifth district. It was an ideal starting point for a wandering along narrow, medieval alleyways and across imperial squares. We were inspired by an atmosphere steeped in history – which also boasts the comforts and infrastructure of a modern city.
Lounge & bar pentahotel Vienna
Similar to the pentahotel Prague that we visited earlier, the pentahotel in Vienna is cozy, modern and well-located place that boasts very interesting concept, characteristic for all 28 pentahotels. This unique hotel chain is well known for its creativity and style, without sacrificing comfort. Design of the hotel is very interesting and artistic because of its unique decoration, created by famous interior designer Matteo Thun. The first thing that makes pentahotel different from other hotels is the check-in area. There is no classical hotel lobby and reception desk. Instead, there is a big bar with lots of places to sit and relax, surrounded by restaurant, lounge with a billiard table, PlayStation zone and a library with a computer zone. Heavy leather chairs, a fireplace embedded in the brick walls and coloured light spots provide a stylish ambiance. Dark lightening in the hallways give the pentahotel a modern vibe.

When it comes to comfort, it is still at the highest level, whether you are in a room or in the penta lounge relaxing on the couches. There are several room types in the pentahotel Vienna – from the basic penta single rooms, to the more exclusive penta rooms, penta plus rooms and penta junior suite. All of the 117 rooms are designed to be stylish and very pleasant to stay in.

The hotel has an exclusive restaurant offering international cuisine, but also serves regional delicacies. There are two main things that visitors should not miss while staying in the hotel. The first one is the delicious and well served breakfast that pentahotels are well known for. The second thing on the list is spending the evening at the bar after a day of sight-seeing and enjoying drinks in a very pleasant atmosphere. There is no need to go out after a busy day because the design of pentabar will make you feel like you are already in a fancy night club.
