Why did you decide to focus specifically on the anti-aging program?
During studies at the Faculty of Medicine, I discovered a great passion for anti-age treatments and ways in which this branch of medicine developed. I am convinced that learning is a process that never stops, which is precisely the heart and soul of aesthetic and anti-aging medicine: every year there are hundreds different training and courses in this field, every year this branch is transforming and progressing at an incredible speed.
After years spent in beautifying people, how would you define beauty?
This question is so important to me that I have made it a slogan of my office! There are as many definitions of beauty as there are people on the planet! Even when tens, hundreds or thousands of people find the same person beautiful – this happens only because it more or less fits their own definition of beauty. Let’s be honest with ourselves – everyone knows best what he/she would change to become the most beautiful version of oneself. For example, I can suggest that the fuller lips would look wonderful on you, but as long as my vision is not the same as your vision of beauty, this will mean nothing to you. And just because of that I’m always telling my clients – Be beautiful to yourself! And that is the slogan of Delta Estetica.
What is the main concern of modern women when it comes to skincare?
The greatest concern is the lack of care. The challenges that modern women face today are the motherhood, the job, the daily care of the household … The emancipation of women came hand in hand with much greater responsibility. And because of this whole commotion, woman often fails to find time for herself, for example to workout or slowly run, to eat healthy, to separate the time for self-reflection (which, although more thought process, is very important!) Our bodies suffer because of the unhealthy lifestyle and high exposure to stress. And that’s the main problem.
What is the biggest mistake women make today?
Unfortunately, there are too many mistakes, but I think that the biggest one is the search for instant solutions. I often joke that even instant coffee is not a good solution for awakening, let alone instant treatments which we hope will bring positive changes to our body. Reaching for beauty is a process, and the process implies a permanent change or at least a certain frequency in it. Therefore, I emphasize to each client the time period in which the treatments will work optimally.
What is a prerequisite for effective skin rejuvenation?
Good, high-quality and proven ingredients of medicines and medicinal cocktails for treatment, as well as an expert who performs these treatments. Without any awareness of these two segments, you must not decide to have a skin rejuvenation treatment.
When is the right time to start using Botox?
There are different opinions on this matter; some doctors recommend using it even in the late twenties, with the idea of training facial muscles to a slower movement which will prevent the formation of wrinkles. Women usually start with treatments in their thirties, when the first fine lines on the face are noticed. In the forties, more frequent interventions are necessary for the effective application of Botox. But, basically, the sooner you start, the effects will be better, but of course, you don’t have to exaggerate.
What are patients biggest concerns when considering this treatment?
Although aesthetic practice and anti-aging treatments have progressed and have become quite common in the modern society, there are still many people with a concern that treatments are done artificial and, thus, that are harmful to the body. Also, there are many stories about negative experiences of those who have done such treatments in beauty parlors and elsewhere, outside the proper hygienic conditions and without the aid of trained professionals. I am trying to make it easier for my clients and, to avoid the confusion, I present individual treatments for each part of the body, as well as possible combinations which I use and which I usually decide to do.
What is the Micro Botox and how does it apply?
Unlike the classic Botox, Micro Botox is applied to the surface of the skin. This can treat acne scars as well as inflammation caused by them, and also reduces the greasiness of the skin and gives it a natural, youthful appearance. This intervention is primarily focused on skin irregularities, so it is not the fight against wrinkles and fine lines on the face.
What can we expect after the first use of Botox?
The procedure with Botox lasts only five minutes and the patient will feel only a slight sting of a needle. Although Botox does not permanently wipe your wrinkles, it weakens facial muscles and slows down their contractions that lead to the creation of unwanted lines! The results last about five months.
What are the main ingredients of mesotherapy cocktails?
Mesotherapy “cocktails” consist exclusively of active substances, vitamins, amino acids, growth factors, and Hyaluronic acid. Basically, everything that the skin is missing!
How often is it necessary to have facial mesotherapy?
It all depends on the type of skin, but it is usually recommended from 2 to 4 treatments.
What motivates you to be the best in your line of work?
Honest and open relationship with my patients, the awareness that tomorrow I have to work even better and more innovative than I do today, and constant improvement and search for progress. Not necessarily in that order!
